Celebrating Bright Hearts And Happy Faces – Because Every Child Matters

At Miracle, we always believe that very few things in the world can be as bright as a child’s smile or as melodious as a giggle. And that’s one of the biggest reasons we celebrate Children’s Day each year in our tuition centre to make those smiles bigger and brighter.

This year, we celebrated it on 3rd October, and the sounds of laughter that filled our classrooms were unforgettable.

A Day That Felt Like Giggling Joy 

The moment our students stepped into the classroom, we could read the happy curiosity in their eyes. They knew something was up and couldn’t suppress their excitement. Even the teachers were amused to notice that. Of course, we had plans and surprises for them, but we wanted them to keep guessing a little longer.

At Miracle Learning Centre, celebrations like this are not about fancy gifts and parties. It’s about appreciating the presence of these bright souls and celebrating the love we have for them. Every Children’s Day, we remind our students that it’s our bond, which makes us grateful. We show them how their happy hearts keep ours warmer.

The Reflection Of Surprises In Their Eyes

We chose our gifts with great care, thought and affection, keeping in mind their preferences and interests. When we handed those over to the little souls, their eyes gleamed in joy. Some just smiled shyly, while their cheeks and ears turned pink. Some managed a soft “thank you” in that overwhelmed voice.

It was a delight to watch. The entire experience lit up the classrooms.

But the merriest part was their realisation that their teachers not only remembered but also valued and cherished them. The way their eyes shone, it reflected a simple truth - Children don't need big gestures to feel appreciated. Love, admiration, and small, caring gestures mean the world to them.

We did our best. We made them happy, and that’s what matters to us the most. After all, it was their day.

Cherishing The Innocence In Every Smile

Whether it was the Primary 4 students or even the older, more mature JC ones, it was a moment when they forgot exam anxieties and scoring pressures and smiled with open hearts. The reason was simple:

Many of them literally grew with us. Joined at a young age, they continued their journey with our guidance, creating an everlasting bond. On the special day, we appreciated that, showing them the care and attention they deserved.

And the children too saw a different side of their teachers. They saw their otherwise careful mentors smile, laugh and enjoy with them, which blew their hearts in sheer joy.

Like every Children’s Day, we took a moment to pause and reflect on our journeys together. We were grateful to be a small yet significant part of their individual journeys.

And The Laughter Continued

We had planned some simple yet intriguing games for them. We divided the students into groups and made the occasion even more fun with science and math games. There was laughter, cheer and friendly competition in every corner of the classrooms. The children let their guards down and so did their teachers. We all enjoyed it like it was a family outing, an indoor picnic that will be remembered for many months ahead.

For a while, textbooks and notes took a back seat, while real fun came to the forefront. We shared fun experiences, played and won hearts. When all the activities ended and it was time to go home, the students thanked us, some even ran to us to give a quick hug. It was evident that they didn’t expect the day to be so much fun. And they were too overwhelmed to have spent it with us, their favorite mentors.

Understanding The Heart Of Miracle Learning Centre

This special day reflected on our primary principle -

“Make learning a fun journey for the students.”

Not only Children’s Day or other special occasions, we try to maintain this fun element in our regular classes as well. At Miracle, the entire faculty, including some well-experienced science and math tutors in Singapore, unite on one thought. Learning should steer clear of exam tension and the pressure to score well. It should be an enriching journey throughout.

And every activity at MLC weighs on this simple practice that forms the heart of our math and science tuition centre. We focus on building careers through real interest and delight. Our students love to learn and enjoy being with us, and that makes us what we are.

Looking Ahead

Although the fun is over now, the students are back to preparations and exam revisions. PSLEs, JC entrances, or A-level exams, they feel more relaxed and free, knowing that their dependable mentors are guiding their each step.

To maintain the fun quotient in studies, we have some holiday crash courses coming up in November and December. We have planned them in a way that the students continue feeling the joy of learning, whether its chemical treatments or algebra.

We just want to let you know how much we enjoyed your presence at the Children’s Day celebrations. You filled our hearts and the classrooms with sheer joy and love. This is a small note to thank you for the same.
