Oxides of Nitrogen are poisonous gaseous compounds containing nitrogen and oxygen. These gases are released into the air from the burning of oil and coal at high temperatures, power stations, industries and exhaust fumes from motor vehicles. Constant exposure to the oxides of nitrogen damages the lungs.
