05 Feb The Three States of Matter
Chemistry tuition class in Miracle Learning Centre is fun and enriching. You will learn about the different aspects of Science and how to learn study skills too.
If you do not like or understand science, you must definitely attend the chemistry tuition class at Miracle Learning Centre to arouse and reignite your interest. Let us learn about the three states of Matter in this science tuition lesson.
States of Matter
There are three different states of Matter namely
- solid,
- liquid
- and gas.
what is solid, liquid and gas
There are three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Solids have specific size and thickness. The liquid has a fixed volume, but takes the shape of the container. Gases have no fixed shape or size
Particle Arrangement
Particles are packed closely and orderly together in solids while in liquid, particles are packed closely but not orderly together. Gas particles are very different to solid and liquid as the particles are packed loosely and not in an orderly manner.
Particle Movement
Similarly, in the movement of particles, solid particles vibrate about its fixed position and liquid particles slide over one another. Gas particles, on the other hand, are far apart and move freely at high speeds in any directions exerting a pressure on the container.
Attractive Forces
There are very strong attractive forces between the solid particles while attractive forces are weaker in the liquid particles. The attractive forces among gas particles are very weak compared to the other states.
Volume and Shape
Solid and liquid have a fixed volume while gas does not have. In addition, solid has fixed shape while liquid and gas take the shape of the container. Solid and liquid cannot be compressed while gas can be easily compressed.
Miracle Learning Centre would like to bring you more facts on chemistry tuition concepts and experiments. We hope you have understood this chemistry tuition lesson.
Science tuition lessons are created to help students excel and we believe “You are a MIRACLE!” and you can do it too.
