Understanding Science

Science can be described as the knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observations. The normal education systems involve several subjects that cover science tuition. These include basic subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The history of science is the study of the development of science and scientific knowledge. This includes both the natural and social sciences. Proposed theories were researched and developed gradually. True and proven theories began to gradually replace false scientific beliefs and practices.

Competing concepts and theories were greatly detrimental to the development of scientific practises. The discoveries were not necessarily uniform or deliberate efforts. Several concepts were discovered by chance as people went about their daily business. Sir Isaac Newton, for instance, discovered the gravitational force when a falling apple hit him on the head while he was resting under an apple tree. This led to scientific curiosity as to the forces behind its acceleration on its way down from the tree.

Scientific principles have generally been a result of curiosity-triggered studies. These principles have since been consolidated and simplified to form the basis of modern day science tuition.
